the future's lookin good to me

we're back in memphis for the weekend. last night i had my first taste of the pharmacy school life. we all got together in an old gym and played ice-breakers for and hour and a half. there were probably 259 people in there and it was crazy. thank goodness Crystal went with me or I would have lost my mind. i am not so much a people person. today i had information sessions all morning. there was a lunch and apartment tours, but i opted out on those. we know how to look for apartments ourself thank you. and there is a formal dinner and dance at the zoo tonight. i don't think we'll be going. first of all it's a formal, second of all... IT's A Formal! no thanks! we will probably go to the zoo tomorrow. i am excited. i am really glad we came this weekend. it has got me really excited to start school.

some days i have to go looking for pictures... and then, some days, i just can't take them fast enough, they are everywhere, i'm literally holding my camera out the car and driving from one to the next. i love it. yesterday was one of those days. here's a couple of my favorites from the day. just some to leave you with while we are off to Memphis. hopefully i will get to take a photo or two in the big city. until then... enjoy (and comment if you'd like...)

winter remnants

despite this little cold spell that seems to be holding it up, spring is most definitely here to stay. everything outside is so colorful, so alive, so beautiful. gotta love it.

i love how imaginative my daughter is. i love the way she cracks herself up. i love how passionate she is, and how much she enjoys life. she truly is my joy in life.

this is her throwing rocks in the puddles at the park. she absolutely loves to pick up rocks and throw them. i think it's the cutest thing there is.

this might be my favorite picture so far ever. i incorporates so much of what i love about photography. and it happens to be one of my favorite places in the world (the watauga river valley at the steel bridge). it's an old picture from september of last year, but i just had to share.

they've cut my hours in half at work. i just work fridays and saturdays now. and i will only be there for another four weeks or so. may 9th is my last day. april 29 is my final in organic. then may 12th is my surgery and hopefully i will recover in time to go to florida in june. i can't wait.

i have had really bad heartburn all day. i have eaten the tums all day too. it might be all the garlic i have drunk today. who knows.

I think/hope Memphis wins the championship. they are fun to watch.

I like memphis, and i am actually really excited to live there for a year. it will be an awesome experience. and i should get some amazing photos too. and pharmacy school should be neat too i guess. :)
